About this Blog
The name’s Caroline and this is my latest blog (which I will hopefully keep up). I started this blog with the intention of keeping track of all the books I read but have decided to use it for pretty much everything else too since I’ve grown to like it. Hopefully it will inspire me to read and write more and watch less TV!
Who am I? No one in particular. A recent graduate from a masters program in history of international relations at the LSE who likes to learn about and explore new places. I’ve lived in quite a few places (Ohio, Singapore, Connecticut, Texas, Argentina, Massachusetts, UK) and have family attachments to Northern Ireland and the USA. My insides are constantly fighting over which side of the Atlantic they properly belong to.
Why the “Empress of Ice Cream?” I happen to be a pretty big fan of the poet Wallace Stevens, and as he said, “Let be be finale of seem. The only emperor is the emperor of ice cream.”
I’ll leave it at that for now and will try to fill in the gaps little by little.
